1. This project was a total renovation of a near derelict building. The old chapel had been an empty shell for over 15 years, the external stonewalls were in a severe need of repair, the roof was beyond repair and the entire internal walls had been removed.

2. However, having a blank piece of paper meant that the internals of the house could be designed from scratch. The brief was to design and build a house that was modern throughout, with stylish fitments, yet maintained some of the original character of the old chapel.
